Paragon PMP Oxygenators

The Paragon is the first range of oxygenators to be manufactured in the UK.

Its tailor made precision manufacturing process allows a greater degree of control over every aspect of its production, enabling quality and attention to detail achieved at all stages.

Highlights include:

Every unit is monitored through a series of quality control checks throughout the production process before being tested over and above normal clinical requirements. This is to ensure performance, reliability and integrity before it is made available for use.
Every unit is coated as standard with our proprietary surface coating “Rheopak”.
A unique and innovative product design allows end users to specify the orientation of each port to better fit their individual set up in theatre. This feature fits with Chalice’s ethos of providing exactly what the customer wants.
Each model can be easily built in to customised tubing sets, with user specified lines pre-connected for quicker/easier set up. Being built in the same facility as our bespoke tubing pack manufacture allows a seamless transition between two departments.

The Paragon PMP is a stand-alone unit that is specifically designed for long-term applications such as ECMO/ECLS. Possessing all the benefits and features as the standard Paragon, but with the exception of a Polymethylpentene Plasma Tight Fibre Gas Exchanger, an essential requirement to allow extended use.

The Paragon PMP has an intended use of up to 6 hours and has recently been revised to incorporate a vent at the summit of the gas exchanger to aid priming and gross air removal.

The Adult Midi is the corner stone of the Paragon range – engineered to cover a diverse adult patient population for both standard bypass and ECMO.

The Paragon Infant is the latest addition to the Paragon range – optimised to deliver outstanding performance and reliability in both standard bypass and ECMO situations.
